The Shepherd rushed to her side, cradling her in His arms. “You just wandered away, my child,” He smiled. “But I have found you, and I am taking you home.” Lily cuddled up close to feel safe and loved. When they came back to the meadow, all her friends cheered. The Shepherd smiled and replied, “I will never stop looking for my lost sheep and bringing them back home.” So from that day forward, Lily, among the flock with the Shepherd, knew He would always love and protect her. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” —Psalm 23:1

After a while, they decided it was time to clean up. “Let’s go back to my house,” said Gus. “We can wash off in the tub!” When they got to Gus's house, his mom chuckled at the sight of the muddy friends. “Oh my! He is no longer afraid of the dark and going to sleep as he is excited for what adventures are in store for him when he goes to sleep with his magical gem.
