When she arrived, she saw her dad waiting at the door. He looked so happy! “Come on, Hayley,” he said, taking her hand. They walked down the long hallways with the sound of footsteps echoing all around them. Hayley felt so much excitement. Finally, they turned a corner and there she was, a tiny little baby tucked into a cosy little blanket. Dad said, “Hayley, meet your little sister, Lara.” Hayley’s heart filled with joy as she leaned in to see Lara for the first time. The baby had tiny fingers and soft, pink cheeks. “She’s so little,” Hayley whispered, touching Lara’s hand. The baby’s fingers curled around hers. At that moment, Hayley knew that Lara would be the the best little sister in the world and that they would have so many adventures and memories together !

I stared into her and she stared back, she said "its you, your the one." I said to myself ok lady, do you have food or a ball? The lady stood up and talked with a shelter worker, she came back and said "I'm going to be your new Mom" and I thought "Mom?." She said she would be back, she came back with a new collar and name tag with the name "Koda."
